Inherited from the 1970s and embodied by the famous Bubble Chair designed in 1968 by Eero Arnio, the "bubble" armchairs have since grown up. They find their place as centerpieces in a pop style living room and their assertive personality make them real design seats. It was plastic that, in the 1970s, made it possible to create armchairs of a new kind: round, even ovoid (for a heritage from the Egg chair by Arne Jacobsen), in which we love each other, in which you enter as if you entered a room! A plastic or acrylic shell on the outside, leather or fabric cushions on the inside, the set is either suspended or placed on a stand. The Bubble Chair takes its name from its shape of course but also from the fact that the armchair is completely transparent thanks to the acrylic used by Arnio at the time, and suspended, like a bubble in the air! These armchairs that have become famous are found in many films and TV series, (Jean Dujardin thrones elegantly on the poster of Rio no longer responds, the last OSS 117). And not only are the classics reissued, but a wide range of armchairs draws inspiration from them, at affordable prices. We will therefore adopt them in the living room or in the bedroom, for a decoration of seventies inspiration in a mix of pop colors: orange, red, white or black, all lacquered of course!
