When you have a garage or a basement, there is always enough room to organize a laundry room. You will then get a room dedicated to washing and ironing clothes. But then how do you organize a laundry room? Here are some keys to make your life easier. Basically, the laundry room was a small room adjoining the house where people did their laundry during the winter. We were then sheltered from the weather for washing but it also allowed the laundry to dry indoors without bringing humidity to the house. Today, some houses still have laundries, but be aware that one can easily install one in a room that is not provided for this purpose. The garage and the basement are preferred spaces because they are rarely used to their maximum. On the other hand, they are parts which resist the vibrations of the machines well and they present a ground which does not fear small floods. In this laundry area, we obviously place the washing machine . And if you have a tumble drier , remember to put it next to the machine to limit your travel and make everything more practical. Similarly, place the dirty laundry basket close to both. To save time, choose a compartmentalized laundry basket so that everyone sorts their laundry beforehand by color. If you do not have a tumble dryer, consider providing a drying rack to dry clothes naturally. And for the finishing touches, place an ironing board with your iron or your steam generator, so you won't have to take out the board every time you iron. Storage side, you can store in the laundry room all household linen (sheets, quilts, towels ...) and seasonal clothing such as ski suits for example. For a better organization, classify the arrangements according to what they contain, you will find more easily what you need. Finally, think of making this place a pleasant space that will make you forget the drudgery of the linen by choosing furniture and accessories that you like decorated storage boxes or customizable. The must: an iPod station in the laundry room for ironing while dancing! Discover examples of laundry organization:
